Description

1973 PORSCHE 914FIRST YEAR OF 2. 0 AND ONLY YEAR WITH OUT SMOG. This 914 was originally purchased in Germany and was later imported to the US by the original owner. It is a US spec car. It is a nice daily driver. It has had a respray in a shade of white that is close to the original white. The door jambs and both trunks were painted also. The engine compartment is still the original paint but has new seals. The paint is a 20 footer as there is some dust in it. It is single stage paint and I do not know how old it is. There are some fitment issues with the front and rear trunk lids from some poorly repaired damage. but they work properly. The car has had an alignment and it is with in spec's. It shines up well and you would not have to worry about leaving it in a parking lot because it's not a show car. There has been rust repairs to the pedal box. jack points. L/rear floor. hell hole (new battery box). and rear trunk (over muffler). The engine is the original 2. 0 liter with the Bosch D jet fuel injection. All four injectors have been replaced with aftermarket injectors. There are 2300 miles on the rebuilt engine. the build included flat top pistons and the cam was reground with a mild performance grind for the fuel injection by Elgin cams. Bearings and a valve job were also done. A small oil leak has started. possibly from the right push rod tubes. The transmission is not original. It has had new seals installed as well a 911 clutch and mounts. The sychros for first are starting to grind. I have the original transmission but according to the previous owner. it needs to be rebuilt. It is included with the sale. All shift linkage bushings have been replaced. The interior has a new (recovered) dash. The seats are serviceable but do have cracks in the vinyl. The center console needs to be reupholstered. New door seals have been installed but the targa top seals are worn. Here is a list of things that have been done in the last 4 years/ 2300 mi. :Pedal box rebuilt with bronze bushings. Brakes rebuilt with new rotors. pads. rebuilt calipers. 911 master cylinder and Castrol LMA fluid. The parking brake does work!Rear window resealed. Rear trunk lid hyme joint hinge kit. Heater upgrade (twin tube). Exchangers replaced with used units that were ceramic coated. (originals included). New clutch. speedo and throttle cables. Electric washer pump from 928 (needs final mounting of pump). New tires (Bridgestone Potenzas) and battery. Front suspension rebuild with new bushings. ball joints. KYB strut inserts and turbo tie rods. Fuel pump relocated to front and stainless lines installed in tunnel. All fuel and vacuum hoses replaced. Rear wheel bearings just replaced. There are a few things I don't have; Tool kit. two lower engine tin pieces. thermostat in-op. plastic cover for side shift. original wheels. stereo and left side mirror. I have more pictures if there is anything you would like to see. Payment by certified cashier's check or cash in person. PayPal accepted for deposit only.
