This is a professionally built MGB conversion. done long ago by well known restoration specialist Glenn Towery. It has a 1961 Buick all aluminum 215 V8 that has been bored 30 over. new Edelbrock carburetor. SS headers and exhaust. 8 inch Mustang rear. custom fiberglass rear springs. and an entire coil over front end from a MGR. This V8 engine actually wieghs 40 pounds less than the stock 1800 cc 4cylinder that the car originally came with. Also has MSD electronic ignition. emote oil filter. and a Rover 5 speed manual transmission with shortened shift lever. Seats are from a Pontiac Fiero. releathered in gray with MG logo by Mr Mike's leather Custom leather dash. with wood panel and high grad German carpetBumpers and grille replaced with chrome from an earlier MGB. nice shape. Steering wheel is a Motolita leather. Car has power windows! and even has hood and trunk lid struts. I'm told the engine was rebuilt a couple thousand miles ago and runs and drives great. Clutch was replaced at that time. Recent improvements include a brand new top (only up for the photos) 5 new tires. new alternator and battery. and carb tune. This car is an absolute blast to drive- very quick and nimble handles and shifts great. All gauges work. and holds excellent oil pressure. No smoke or issues. Paint is good driver grade. showing signs of normal wear as it has been driven about 45000 miles since its conversion. Prior owner drove it to Tennessee. Indianapolis. and many other places for MG club events. Has been featured in club magazines. and is currently listed on the North American MGB registry. There are a couple minor bubbles in the a paint. nothing serious. In also have a roll bar. which I removed. but will include in the sale if you wish Attracts attention however I go.
