1978 MGB Rover 3.5L V8 Rover 5 speed & chrome bumpers

I'm offering this meticulously engineered and constructed British-American hybrid sportscar. She is an late 80's conversion done by Glen Towrey and his calling card is on the radiator support. Like the Cobra or Sunbeam Tiger. the principal is to take a respected British roadster and add a good old reliable V8. Here is a car that you can drive almost year round. It has real windows that roll up with a defroster that works. The top is rarely up and spends most of the time tucked behind the seats. There is also a radio that you can listen to or play some old cassette music or book tapes on. This car was converted by Glen in the late 80's and runs better today than it did then. When I purchased the car I replaced the rims with stock MGB rims and changed over the rubber bumpers to the classic chrome. Custom headers lead to a quiet exhaust that exits on the driver’s side and hugs the body of the car. The exhaust has a deep-throated sound but is not objectionably loud. The Rover V8 actually weighs less than the original MG 4-cylinder engine. so the car exhibits well-balanced handling. The car accelerates strongly from any speed and blows away many more formidable performance cars. It is sure to surprise a lot of people when this modest-looking MGB leaves them behind! Everything works properly. the fuel gauge. tach. speedometer. oil pressure gauge. and directionals. The interior looks original and the seats are faded but intact and comfortable. A set of leather beige Miata seats can be included with the sale.
