A beautiful, xcellent running, estored car suitable for show and general use

As nice a TD as one might wish for thoroughly enjoyable road use……excellent body and paint, ust slightly worn (with perfect patins) deep red leather, he most expensive tan cloth top, oot cover, nd side curtains, ostly new chrome and trim throughout.

Engine: correct, riginal, ecently overhauled engine….my tests, 40-150 psi compression in every cylinder, 5-70 psi oil pressure when warm, ero smoke cold or hot, uiet valves, ransmission works well (good synchromesh, oesn’t pop out of gear), uiet back axle.

Has a new cloth covered wiring harness (the secret for long term electrical reliability), ll gauges work, as seat belts, ery nicely panted and detailed underneath and in the engine bay.

Even such nice touches as original signal lights and lenses, lloy rocker cover, nd mostly new electricals (voltage regulator, tc.). All in all, lovely ready to go MG TD.

What is best about these cars are they are easy to service and repair, arts are readily available, nd tho’ over sixty years old, verything works very well.

On the road (if you never drove an MG TD), ide is simply incredible, mooth, ot bouncy nor stiff, teering is superb….fast, ight, o play….engine isn’t terribly powerful but has a wide torque band, mooth acceleration, nd within the parameters one might expect, uite lively. Shifting is a snap, ar will easily cruise at 65-70 mph so, es, OU CAN drive it on the highway. BUT, round town or on the proverbial back country roads, n a nice day with the windshield folded flat, ard to imagine any other car in its price range that can compare.

The wood dash is a bit faded and one can easily sand/urethane OR cover it in matching vinyl. Depending on year of manufacture, oth were available. Add a radio under the dashboard, aybe a luggage rack (for golf clubs?) and this car is ready for years and years of fun use.
