MGA 1600 Mk II roadster, 962
Only 29,000 documented, uthenticated miles since new!
And one of less than 9,000 built.
Quite a find……well cared for and maintained, ainted years ago but still looking fantastic….as some people advertise using words such as ‘laser straight’ and ‘mirror like reflections.’ LOOK AT THE PHOTOS. Laser straight and with mirror like reflections in the paint. Absolutely stunning.
Drive train appears to be in excellent condition….just tested, 52-155 psi compression in every cylinder, 0+ psi oil pressure when warm, ero smoke cold or hot. SU carbs have no play in the throttle shafts and work perfectly. Fitted with a set of tubular headers and oil cooler. Transmission feels like a 29k mile car...quiet, xcellent synchromesh, onderful operation. In fact, he entire car ‘feels’ like almost brand new.
Disc brakes redone, ire wheels, ew shocks, ll brand new interior in deep red leather to match the dash (which is original and beautifully trimmed). Top is in very good condition, as new tonneau and side curtains, ll gauges and electrics work.
Has a near new exhaust system, ew premium wood steering wheel, lmost all new chrome and trim, lean engine bay and trunk compartment, ll in all, sensational ultra low mileage MGA 1600 Mk II.
On the road, uiet operation, o rattles, rans or diff noises, aintains perfect oil pressure, ot the slightest puff of smoke, ll original gauges working, s a very very nice MGA.....and the 1600 Mk IIs are the most powerful of the pushrod-engined MGAs.
Yes, urrently has a (better looking) Mk I grille and, es, ore than happy to install a proper Mk II grille if so desired. Also have all of the correct (and new) Mk II insignia, ast owner had the holes filled and hate to drill them UNLESS a buyer wishes.
