This auction is for a very solidABSOLUTELY RUST FREEun-restored 1979 MG MGB. This auction includes FREE delivery up to 200 miles of Birmingham, labama, after payment in full)
These little cars are getting pretty rare...especially in this original solid RUST FREE condition. This is a true two owner Alabama car. It hastheoriginal Russet Brown paint. Never damaged andabsolutelyrust free!!!! It even hastheoriginal dealerdecalstill on the back!!
The car had been sitting in storage for over 16 years. The car was running and driving, ut had a stuck valve from sitting so long and needed a valve job. The owner pulledthehead to startthevalve job...but ended uphavingto deal with some familyissuesand never finished. All parts are included...but the car is not driving atthemoment.
I have been buying, elling and restoring British Sports cars foralmost40 years now...and this is one ofthemost solid, traightest MGBs I've ever seen.
This car looks GREAT from 10 feet away....but minor imperfections can be seen under closer inspection, s expected with any 35 year old un-restored sports car. Nothing major, ust normal wear and use. The paint is the original color, 979 MG Russet Brown. The paint still shines well, ut does have it's share of minor scratches that need touched up...from being instorageso long. Very solid car with no rust holes or bubbles on the body or underneath...ever. Very solid platform for a fullconcursrestoration project...or you can use it as is for a fun little driver quality summer toy with only minor attention andre-installingthe head. One of the straightest bodies I've seen on an un-restored MG. All panels align up well and the door gaps look good.
This car had been instoragefor many years. I'm listing it for a friend who must sell it quickly and needs the cash...so his loss can be your gain. This car is being sold with NO RESERVE..so the final high bidder will own this great little car. He is forced to sell his entire MGB collection due to some family issues. Car hascurrentregistration, ags and is currently insured. Clear registration in hand.
This is project car and is not running at teh moment. The paint and interior needs attention to be perfect.Again...not aconcursnew condition $10K car....but it is an honest solid platform for a great little car needing only minor attention.
