This MGB is mechanically sound w/a completely rebuilt 5 main bearing 1798 cc engine painted the proper MGB color. The engine features a Weber DVG carburetor, ate model unleaded compatible cylinder head, nd camshaft reground by Schneider Cams of San Diego to slightly more aggressive specifications. The engine also includes upgraded electronic ignition, new water pump, ew radiator, ew generator, pgraded gear reduction starter, nd a spin-on oil filter adapter.
The remainder of the drive train is made up of a properly functioning, lectronic overdrive transmission, new clutch and pressure plate and new clutch and slave cylinders. The brakes have been repaired including new rear wheel cylinders and new brake lines. All suspension bushings have been replaced.
The car has been converted to negative ground. Standard shocks have been installed in the rear and the original style, roublesome fuel pump has been replaced with a modern, olid-state electronic fuel pump. The fuel tank has been cleaned, lushed and sealed.
The exhaust system has been upgraded and produces just the right tone. The car sports new Minilite-type wheels and new tires. All the glass is great and the windows roll up and down. The convertible top bows are included, s is a tonneau cover. It does not currently have a convertible top for the frame as the car is garaged. The car has spent its entire life in California, ost of it within the extended family.
Accurately describing the paint job is ….perplexing. It presents very well from ten feet and beyond as you can see in the photos. However, t does show some flaws upon close inspection. While it’s far from a show quality paint job, t’s more than adequate for someone who wants to drive the car and be the envy of the neighborhood. There is evidence of some previous body work on the lower edges of the doors and fenders, nd the floors have been repaired - very typical for a convertible. The frame is straight and solid. The registration is current and the title is clean and in my name. Blue California plates are included.
I have represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. The MGB is being sold as-is. No warranty expressed or implied. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact me directly to obtain additional information or answers to any questions. An inspection is welcomed and encouraged. I would also be happy to assist with your shipper.
