1989 Saab 900 is 5 speed front wheel drive 2 liter 16 V with sunroof. I bought this to have restored, ut the next day found out I needed to spend some funds on another project unfortunately, o now it is for sale.
It runs and drives good enough to get around town for sure. The paint looks good over most of the car, ut the clear coat is starting to peel on the hood. I think the car was repainted at some point, ut it looks good and is a great color. It belonged to a lady who was dating a fellow who owns a SAAB service center (until she moved). She said the engine had around 70,000 miles on it. It comes with a couple of bike racks, nd an extra set of wheels and tires (which I still need to pick up, o I haven't seen them yet). I drove the car to the neighboring town about 10 miles away and back, nd around town a few times. It starts up good and runs and drives good. It seems to need an alignment because it has more understeer than I would have thought, hough the tires are in very good condition. It also has a leak somewhere on the engine because the engine has fresh oil on it (I haven't looked into it much yet, ut will update this if I find something). The brakes are newer and work good. It shifts good into all gears, ut 5th is physically closer to 3rd than I would have expected so hard to tell the difference (not in speed, ut placement of the shift knob and I am still not used to it.) The sunroof needs the plastic slide dogs replaced (it is manual), hough I made a temporary replacement. Electric all seems in good working order. The interior looks very good for its age. It has had been kept up, r partly restored over time I guess. The dash does have cracks (has a cover), nd the clock does not work. Radio is a pioneer CD player, nbsp;Power windows work good, s does the power antenna. That is all the problems I could find, nd again, bought it to fix up further, nd I know a car this age will almost always need something. If I find out more details, will add to this. It does run and drive through all gears, drove it 20 miles going between 45-60 on curvy mountain roads. It brakes and turns good too (other than the understeer I mentioned).
Feel free to ask questions.
