Up for auction is my 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX. This is a single-owner vehicle - I bought the car in February 2002 and have maintained it throughout the years. The title is clean and the car has never been in an accident. The car is stock - the only modifications that I have done to it were removing the air box silencer (still have the parts - can include them), wapping the stock hood-scoop for a carbon fiber (looking) scoop, nd debadging the "SUBARU" from the trunk.
The car has the premium sound package which includes upgraded speakers and a subwoofer under the passenger seat. It also has the factory turbo gauge option. The car has a six-disc changer and a tape deck. It has power windows and mirrors as well.
I have all of the manuals and original window sticker for the car.
The car starts and runs however it needs some work to get it truly roadworthy. Below is a list of the issues with the car in its current condition. Some of these things I'd imagine are items that are going to be replaced by the buyer anyway but I am including everything that I see as an issue for completeness and transparency:
As far as the good things go:
Please let me know if you have questions. I intended to rebuild this car one day however I have no time on my hands at the moment and do not want to see the car sitting for long.

Some of these things I'd imagine are items that are going to be replaced by the buyer anyway but I am including everything that I see as an issue for completeness and transparency:
- The exhaust has a leak that is not-repairable/patchable
- The oil pan is perforated and is leaking
- The brakes need to be serviced
- There is a coolant leak coming from a leaking hose somewhere in the engine bay. Coolant is not leaking under the car - I can smell it when the car runs and there is a little smoke coming from the left side of the engine.
- The driver side door keyhole has been damaged (pushed inside the door) and is unusable
- The truck keyhole is somewhat damaged however it is still operational
- There is a small amount of rust behind the driver-side rear tire well
- The A/C belt was in bad shape so I just took it off the engine - the A/C was not blowing cold anyhow. Charging the A/C with R-134 keeps it cold for the summer season. There must be a slow leak somewhere in the system.
- The driver side fog lamp is cracked
- The digital clock has burned out
- The backlight on the radio does not work. You can see the info on the radio readout fine during the day, ut at night it is not visible.
- The six-disc changer plays CDs great in warm weather. When it gets cold, Ds don't play as well.
- The spoiler attachment to the truck is a bit loose on one side. It has been like this for years - the spoiler is not going anywhere however.
- No major dents but the car paint has typical wear for a 14 yo car. The hood paint has small rock damage from highway driving
- The hood latch is rusting and it is very difficult to get the hood to lock completely down.
As far as the good things go:
- Both rear tires were replaced early 2015 and the front tires are still good
- I just dropped a new battery in the car. The battery in the pic above is the old battery.
- The clutch is in good shape - no slipping
- I've used Mobil-1 5w30 for the life of the car, he transmission fluid was swapped and is now Royal Purple, nd I have always used premium fuel (required/recommended by Subaru)
- The air box has a K&N filter in it
- The seats have no tears and are in good shape
Please let me know if you have questions. I intended to rebuild this car one day however I have no time on my hands at the moment and do not want to see the car sitting for long.
