1981 BJ43 Toyota Land Cruiser 3B Diesel 4X4 * Because eBay does not recognize the short VIN #. I had to insert 1980. It is. however. a 1981 BJ43 that I imported personally from Canada. I have all the paperwork from US customs. and I have a clear Montana Registration and Title. Very Rare BJ43. with forward heater box. Only a handful of these icons in the USA or Canada. Very Reliable. professionally rebuilt 3B engine with 6000 miles. Shifts easy and runs smoothly through all the gears with the stock H41 Toyota 4 speed ( rebuilt ) transmission. 4X4 works very well. rebuilt as well. New Warn Hubs were also installed 8 years ago. and work as new. Thousands of dollars were spent on mechanical. and maintenance. All gauges work. windshield wipers. Heat. Fan. along with the Volt meter which was addedAll seats are in great shape with no rips or tares. and were new in 2007Mats are in excellent condition. both front and rear. and were new in 2007New Toyota factory split rims (5) New Tires all around (5) New Bilstein shocks all around8000 lb Warn Winch with cable and Hell For Stout front bumperAs I mentioned. there is a new canvas top on order and will be installed prior to sale or after frame off restoration. See photos. It will look exactly like the factory top in the last photo. If I do decide to do the frame off restoration. it will look as nice as this. again. Top is Camel in color. My dilemma is this: Do I sell it to you as it is at an affordable price. Or do I do a frame off restoration and sell it at a much higher price a year from now??? I have 3 FJ40's I am currently working on. I have driven this BJ43 for over 800 miles. through a few beautiful states. and down the interstate at 70 mph. averaging 25 mpg. and all with no issues. It is a driver! I will be replacing a few things regardless. It needs a new ignition switch. which will go in next week. Break pads. e brake will be new. All bulbs will be changed. I just had all fluids replaced and I will be looking forward to the new top. In the mean time. feel free to bid with confidence. I have very good references. I would restore to Mint for the right buyer. I may deliver to you in the Northwest or help to ship to you elsewhere. It is great fun to drive this 43.
