I am selling my rare 1964 fj40. This truck came from Oregon a little over a year ago. I bought it with every intention of restoring it and you know the story. Time will not allow the project to be completed. The body and frame on this truck are almost perfect. It really does look as good in person as in the pictures. Its pretty easy to find the newer fj40's restored or just for sale. Try to find a clean 64 like this one. When I got the truck it was complete minus the engine. trans. and transfer case. I began dismantling everything and labeling everything for future reassembly. The truck in its current state has the wiring. steering column. switches. heater. and all interior components removed for easy access to the body removal. All comes with the truck. My plans were to take it down to the frame and do a complete restoration. It doesn't need to be taken down that far its just what I wanted to do. You could easily put it back together and drop in your choice of driveline and have a really clean ride that looks great and turn heads. I cannot stress enough how clean and straight this truck is. You would search high and low to find another early 40 this clean for the money. There is only the small rust spots on the rear sill that doesn't go all the way thru the body. You would not have to replace the rear sill to repair. Other than that its as solid as new. There is a rare ramsey PTO winch on the truck as well.
