" I Do " It's very reliable and can been drive years round having a Full hard top and Hard doors. Heater and wipers also work great. The Full Hard Top and Hard Doors both remove for open air nice weather driving. Big dollars spent to make this FJ 40 Run and Drive "Outstanding". To start the stock tired out under powered Toyota 6 cly motor was removed and a newer V8 5. 3 liter = 327 cubic inch Chevy VORTEC Factory Fuel Injected motor was transplanted under the hood. This FJ has more power and performance than most could ever use On or Off road. The Power train under this FJ is unbelievable and 2nd to none! Then the stock Toyota 3 speed manual transmission was also removed. A Newer Chevy NV 4500 = 5 Speed manual transmission "with overdrive' was installed in place. This Transmission is a must have if you want to long road trip out of town or off road. When this FJ is in compound Low 4 wheel drive and the transmission is in Granny 1st gear this FJ will take you on any Off road adventure you can through at it. You always have a winch on the front if you get real stupid! Then when driving on the roadways you switch to 2 wheel drive high range and you get the extra 5 gear ! "overdrive" that allowing this FJ to run the highways or Interstate at very high speeds at a much lower RMP's range. This FJ was built to RUN! The rebuilt Toyota 4 Wheel Drive transfer case is mated to transmission with the use of a advance adapter. New motor mounts - New transmission mounts - New exhaust - Drive lines and yokes. New Gas tank - New gas lines. The HD Factory Toyota Front and Rear end also both rebuilt to ensure reliability On and Off road. FJ is leak free on the bottom side - No leaks - NONE. You can park this FJ in your house on the carpet it you see fit! My wife makes me keep it in the garage ha -ha. FJ is also fitted with newer Saginaw Power steering box and all new steering parts. The stock gas tank inside FJ was removed from under passenger seat. (Don't want to sit on a gas bomb and don't want gas fumes inside of vehicle ). A custom 26 gal fuel tank with skid plate from man-a fre was installed under rear bottom side of FJ . The gas filler was also moved to the rear passenger side of FJ = See Photos! Then "all the suspension" parts under this FJ replaced new. It rides nice! Not stiff and not ridged like a lot of them. This FJ is a true joy to drive - You drive this FJ - Not it drive you! All the 4 wheel drive parts under FJ have been rebuilt and everything is in great working order. It will go off road with the best of them. The Fuel injection motor is the only way to go! Won't stick gas float like a carb and flood or load up if going off road climbing a steep hill or steep angles like a carb will. Won't power loss due to high altitude driving like a carb will.
