1982 Toyota pickup purchased used in May 1983 by my father. I purchased it from him in approximately '06 and drove it to Phoenix from Washington state so it could live out its remaining life in the valley of the sun like any other snowbird. Once here many things were replaced or rebuilt while used as a daily driver. Among the items rebuilt were the transmission and front axle. Both of those tasks were done by local professionals/gurus/wisemen. Under my care it was involved in two minor accidents. The bed damage occurred while being stopped at a red light. The insurance company felt the cost of repairs outweighed the value of the pickup so it was considered "totaled" and thus the salvage title. The engine is original and I believe never rebuilt. It is tired and may have a bad exhaust valve. It does run but not well. There is no rust in the cab or frame. There is rust on the bed floor and along the bedside seam where the panels are joined. The pickup is relatively unmodified. No PVC "roll bar" for KC lights here. Just a few additions were made and only a couple of them remain. A rear tow hitch, ront tow bar for RV adventures and some exterior lighting are intact. Once it had a CB and an alarm (carb was stolen in the '90s. Yes the carb!) but only traces of them survived. My 30+ years with this pickup (I was born in '82) has come to an end as my needs are different than what it can provide for me. Included in the sale: whatever items are in the "1982 Toyota" tote, eriod correct Brahma canopy, pares (being whatever should be on it but isn't for whatever reason) and my blessings to you in your new ventures. Happy to answer any questions or provide detailed pictures upon request. Bid high and bid often.
