For sale is my 1984 Toyota BJ42 Landcruiser. It is a 24 volt (NATO Spec). Left hand drive. North American (Canadian) unit. Only 236 of these were sold in North America making it the rarest of the rare. 1984 was the last year the BJ42 was sold North America and it has several unique options only available to this year. A lot of these models were lost to abuse. disrepair or poor after purchase modifications. The BJ42 has the original 3B engine. nbsp;Factory power steering. nbsp;Factory 5 Speed transmission as well as Factory front disc brakes. which make this a comfortable and reliable daily driver. Mileage is 290000KM. This BJ42 has had three owners since new. and includes the original owners manual. She starts right up. idles great. and runs and drives very nicely. Brakes are all operational. as is the clutch. All gauges work. as do signals. headlights. tail lights. horn. interior lights and heater fan which was refuirbished with SOR parts. Seats are new SOR upholstery in original condition. The two rear jump seats are in great shape with original upholstery. Up until recently I was using this as my daily driver. The engine runs strong with no abnormal noises or oil leaks and doesn't smoke at all (minus cold starts). The truck drives exceptionally well. it goes down the road straight. doesn't pull left or right and stops nicely. The four wheel drive system operates as it should. Recently installed Bilstien shocks. greasable SOR front rear shackles and Upgraded Poly SOR bushings combined with the Tight turning radius make city driving as well as offroad a joy (for me anyhow). highlights of this final year model that make it unique. rare and a great daily driver are:-factory disc brakes-factory five speed tranny-factory power steering-24 volt Canadian spec-3B Diesel engineThe engine. body. frame. and Vin all original. It has the usual rear tub rust near the rear quarters. It is UNRESTORED and UNMODIFIED (minus shocks. tires. steering components. exhaust and other wear and tear items)Has original paint and is a perfect candidate for restoration. I myself to not have the skill. time. or funds to do it justice and have come to the conclusion that it needs a good owner who appreciates its heritage. Work done includes mostly wear and tear stuff but since I've had it I've:ExhaustSOR front upholsterySOR heater rebuildSOR shackles. bushingsSOR tie rod endsOld man emu steering stabilizerBilstien shocksClutch master installed.
