This is a 1979 VW Westfalia Camper with a true 3 speed automatic that runs wonderfully. It can sleep two on the convertable bunk below and two on the upper bunk when the top is raised. I'm selling it in the final stages of a restoration. Here is a list of what has been done: - full body work and paint job - complete full seal replacement on all doors/windows/poptop/luggage carrier - complete jalouise window rebuild on both sides - rebuilt cylinder heads and new pushrods - new fuel pump - new pointless distributer with advance - conversion from finicky fuel injection to 2 bbl progressive carb (still have all fuel injection parts that will go with vehicle) - full tune up and new hoses thorughout - new spare tire What I feel is left to do: - new tent. (The old one was rotten and I removed for paint job. All hardware is there. ) - door panels - headliner panel - front seats need new stuffing This is the original 2. 0 liter aircooled engine. There is some oil leakage that is normal with these vehicles. (All VW vans mark their spot) There is a canoe/kayak rail system integrated into the poptop that is totally removable. There were no additional holes drilled into the top for this system. It utilized the existing poptop mounting to add the rack. I can remove if necessary. This system allows canoes/kayaks to be mounted and the top to still be operational. My family and I have used this van for the past few summers to canoe/kayak/camp within about a 300 mile radius of home with no issues. The campervan has a 5 gallon water tank to use for the sink. an icebox and electrical hookups. Please let me know if you would like additional pictures or any additional information about this vehicle.
