For your consideration. This Auction is for a 1979 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper VanThis vehicle has had only ONE owner!It is all original inside and out with the exception of the exterior paint job. It has all the original snap on Mosquito/Bug Screens which have never been used. as well as the original unused hammock that goes over the front seats. All the interior bed cushions are in excellent unstained condition. The driver. passenger. and bench seat are upholstered in the original leather. having no tears or rips. The cabinetry is in fine condition as well. The stove. sink. refrigerator. and interior lighting are all in working order. The popup has a few blemishes on it. but no tears or rips to speak of. The trim around the base of the popup could use some adhesive to keep it in place. The kick panel that is supposed to cover everything from underneath the dash to the floor needs some attention as far as putting it back in its original place. There are a few small rust spots here and there that can be easily taken care of by means of a new paint job. They are clearly seen in the photos. Tires are used. but safe. There are NO problems with the engine of this Westfalia. This Camper starts right up on the first turn of the key. The miles that have been put on this classic vehicle are 76. 17 as of the starting time of this auction. The odometer has never turned over. The undercarriage of this 1979 Westfalia shows no signs of rust that I could see. The car has had one small accident when the owner hit a rock. The damage was repaired by a small weld. Please look at all the pictures. This vehicle is not in perfect cosmetic condition. but considering its age and the fact that it has never had any restorative work done to it. this vehicle is in great condition. He drove it all around Costa Rica. and then into Panama. From Panama. it was shipped to Argentina and then driven about throughout all of South America. ending up in Lima. Peru. From Peru. it was put into a container where it journeyed all the way to Barcelona. Spain. and was then driven back home to France where it was garaged until 2010. In 2010. It was shipped to Florida again. then driven to San Diego. The Westfalia Van then made its way into Mexico. where sadly. it received a poor quality paint job.
