1973 Volkswagen Thing Base 1.6L Restoration Project

1973 VW THING, range/Black vinyl. Needs a full restoration. Engine runs fine. Trans has a shift problem, he odometer shows 8,000 miles but the PA title is marked "exempt". Optional Factory Gas Heater, op has a tear, ide curtain frames are good but need recovered. There are 4 extra doors, xtra engine lid. There are also side air scoops from a later model Thing that were not installed. Original jack and handle are included . Body has the usual rust under the back seat around the battery box. There is rust in the right doors and rocker panels. The driver side rocker panel was repaired and we don't know what is under the body filler. See photos of the car when it was up on a lift.
