This vehicle has been restored and converted into a Class III Food Cart. Starting with a dry, ust-free bus, verything except the transmission (which shifts perfectly and doesn’t make noise) was removed. The bus was sanded to near bare metal. Navarro Auto Body of Eugene, R did all of the body and paint work. It was primered inside and out, hen painted Kasan Red, hich is the European Fire Truck Color. The front bumper, ashboard, nd wheels are a classic white with a red pearl flake. Master VW Mechanic Miles of Eugene’s “No Name Garage” gave the 1600 single port engine a complete overhaul using only German parts. Engine tins and housing were painted to match the bus. We installed ALL NEW German rubber throughout except the main floor mat in back, still in decent shape). All windows are original to the bus except the two sliders. The front window has a couple small rock chips. All the interior panels have been replaced with custom-cut diamond plate panels for durability and an industrial look. Behind the driver seat is a full length, ustom butcher-block counter top. Underneath are two Haier mini-refrigerators, s well as empty storage space. On the opposite side, here the Westy cabinet usually sits, s a custom-built, indow-height cabinet containing the hand-washing sink. There is an on-demand hot water heater mounted on the side. A gray water container, 2-volt pump and propane tank are hidden inside the cabinet. Sink countertop is a faux-granite composite. The water supply is a 5-gallon jug located on the roof rack. A custom redwood crate houses the Honda 2000 watt Whisper Series generator. The generator powers the mini-fridges and a power strip located at the far end of the butcher-block counter. The bus interior is lit by a 15 foot LED light strip that runs around the inside roofline. It has a programmable remote with multiple colors and settings. We replaced all shocks, all joints, rakes, teering dampener, nd CV boots—again using only top quality German parts. New set of Federal tires 195/60 R14 in front and 205/60/R14 in back. The bus drives and handles like new. We operated as a food truck for about a year and only put 2500 miles on the engine. It just had its first oil change and valve adjustment a few weeks ago. Not including the purchase price of the bus, e’ve invested over $18,000 into this custom resto mod. This would make an awesome soup and sandwich cart, offee bus or delivery vehicle. You’re definitely getting your money’s worth even if you choose to convert it back to stock. If you have any questions about the bus, would be happy to answer them. PLEASE CALL 707-294-9440.
