Description

VW Cabrio PROJECT CAR It runs good and drives, ut needs to be finished. I bought the carin late 2014, o fix for my wife. She died in February 2015 and I lost interest in the project. I paid about $1085 for it and had to go to Miami Fl to get it. The transmission was bad, ccording to the seller, omeone did not check the fluid level. I do not know, o I replaced the transmission with one from a car with about 500 fewer miles. I replaced the seals, hanged the filter and wiring harness and installed it. It seems to work well. The engine runs well. The AC works, ut I hear a sound I don't like so I bought a new compressor and drier (not installed). The power steering drips. I changed the boot on the drivers side and it now drips on the passenger side. I was under the car when my wife turned the wheel from side to side, othing but a drip. There is a new boot and all the parts to reseal the steering rack if that is needed. For me the worst part is the power windows. I have a couple of motors from wrecked cars and 2 new window regulators. The door panel is off the drivers side as I replaced the wiring harness on that side. A Bentley Manual comes with the car. Bought some seats from the salvage yard, ot perfect, ut better than what was there. Has a new battery about 15 months ago. I have only driven the car about 50 to 100 miles since purchasing. Also included is a new fuel pump. I was having problems starting, etermined it to be a fuel related issue, ought new pump, till in the box, ut fixed the problem with a new relay. I took a picture of the top corner, s the person I bought it from said it was a professional repair. Still together. Thehydraulic top does not work, robably a relay. I have over $2500 invested and will sell it for afraction of this. I am sure you will have more questions, all me Richard 228 671 1008 The car is located in Moss Point, S. (Eastern Gulf Coast Area about 20 miles west of Mobile, L)
*****Please note the picture of the passenger rear of the car looks like there is a large dent, ut it is only a reflection. There are no large dents anywhere****
