You are bidding on a 1978 Volkswagen T2 Vanagon/Transporter Bus.
She has 95,000original miles and is in very presentable condition. This great van starts right up, uns great, teers - stops - shifts very well. Of course, he VW Bus never hadgreat shift linkage when it was new, ut if you are looking at this ad, ou already know that. A bit sloppy really.
The gauges and lights all work fine. A new VW front badge is included!
I bought the Van to drive, hen restore however have recently purchased a few other collector cars that are going to takeprecedence. Reluctantly, amselling the VW. If I had more room, 'd keep her for a future restoration. These T2's are coming into their own (especially the 2.0 liter versions) because the T1's arebecoming increasingly more expensive.
I am not a dealer any longer. I do, owever, ave a personal collectionof classic cars and a staff that restores them. Mychildren love these buses and asked that I buy one to drive them to school in, owever, can onlyrestore one car at a time. An XKE is now in rotation for a cosmetic restoration.
Here are a few issues - The side doorglass is cracked. I am locating one and will replacebefore the newowner takespossession. There isminor surface rust on variousparts of the van, othing that is rusted through, hat I can see. It also appears that this van was brownoriginally. There is also no third row seat - which can had on Ebay. I would have made it a folding bed seat - theseatbelts are there, however, ounted to the floor.
She does not smoke. Again, he drives and stops very well. Very fun indeed! Try to take one for a drive without being the center of attention, t's impossible.
Included is a teak wood roof rack. It's older but complete - and, ith a coat of varnish, would look new. We can, t a cost,do that work for you. We can also paint the van (in fact, e can restore it completely).
This is a 1978 Bus which means it has the 2.0 liter engine. It is a much improved motor fromprevious years. Again, he runs great - no leaks, o smoke. Just a great AFFORDABLE VW bus. There is also anaftermarketexhaust on this bus - and enhances the sound and perhaps, o a small degree, he performance.
There is no reserve on this bus. I hope to make back my investment, ut really need the room. Good luck bidding, lastbidder wins.
I have included a good number of pictures - and can take more upon request. Note - the underside is very solid with no rust through - solid.
I respond to email quickly.
Due to the age of the bus, here is no warranty implied or suggested She is sold AS-IS. I invite andencourage inspections. I don't want a remorseful buyer and would rather an informed buyer - so please ask any question. Also, our winning bid is a contract. I do report non paying bidders.
I require a $500 deposit, ia Paypal uponwinning the auction, he balance within 5 days. After that I will re-list and report the non paying bidder. I can store the VW inside for a short time and willassistwith shipping in any way that I can. My collection is not open on weekends, owever.
Thank you and good luck bidding!
