Vanagon Westfalia Weekender

1985 Weekender with poptop. Purchased at auction from Storage lot. Have clear California Title in my name & in hand. Registration in non-op status with DMV. I have NO SERVICE HISTORY OR MILEAGE DOCUMENTS, o I have NO IDEA of Mileage or mechanical condition.(that's why it says 900,000) Engine runs on all 4 cyls, ransmission engages forward and reverse, rakes stop vehicle. Power steering functions. I have driven it less than ONE mile, nly on my small private road. Had Factory AC, ut Compressor is removed, ut included. Previous owner had installed factory propane tanks for full Westfalia interior. Have Westfalia stove/fridge, ut nowhere near good shape. This IS NOT a Road-ready vehicle. It must have a complete safety and mechanical evaluation by a professional. Interior is near empty. Smoke damage from a land powered electrical heater's extension cord caused rear seat to smolder, nd severely stain the interior components. No FIRE damage. Will require substantial cleaning and refurbishing to interior components, r build your own Camper interior to your wishes. California Vehicle, o underside is quite clean, ut has 3 rust spots (Salt air from Ocean)that will require attention from a body shop. Lower corners of front windsheild, ear hatch window( or replace with used rear door), nd rear latch mount area. Minimal seam rust typical for all Vanagons. Quite repairable if you get to it now. This Van is definitely a good candidate for refurbishment into a very nice vehicle. Too many others are "Too far gone", or way too much money.
