I have a 1974 Vw camper Westy. The bus is not in bad shape but not perfect. I bought this bus from a friend with intentions of restoring her. I just installed a rebuilt 1.8 type 4 cylinder. She has a full automatic Trans. The motor runs awesome transmission shifts great! The bus stops good. Bus handles great. This bus needs someone to go over her. She has been parked for 10 years. I do know the Trans leaks a little. It leaves small puddle when she sits. There is a Trans gasket kit in bus. I think needs a pan gasket. I don't think she would take much to put her back on road. Maybe few bulbs and I know it needs wiper blades. The tires are in good shape. This thing has new gas lines, new starter, new Weber carb. Rebuilt Distibitor, Front End work, Sony cd, hard wood floor, gas heat and so much more. The body needs a few lower spots fixed. Has some lower rocker panel rust. The paint shines good but is not perfect. The paint has scratches and chipping here and there. The floors are pretty solid, dog legs are solid. Body is pretty strait. Inside looks pretty decent shape.
