1979 VW Diesel Rabbit MK1

For sale is a very original VW MK1 diesel rabbit. It has a rebuilt head with ARP head studs and a previously rebuilt injection pump. There is no cancer rust and only minimal surface rust on the original paint. Only damage to body is on the driver fender. All other panels are straight. It has a 4 speed manual with a good clutch. the interior is in great condition with only damage to the driver seat and dash. it has a new fuse block form partsplaceinc. com and what looks to be a newer wiring harness. The previous owner installed a new ignition switch and it wasn't supplying enough power to the shut off solenoid so that is wired to a switch on the dash. New glow plug relay and the previous owner put a whole new circuit in. The pump timing is a little bit off from installing the head. but starts when cold and runs great. It has manual brakes so they feel a little weak and might need a adjustment. The wheels on the car are bigger than factory so the speedometer and odometer are off by a bit. The stereo has been removed along with the speakers. the wiper motor has been removed but all wiring is there. Original spare with beauty ring.
