1965 VW BUS Volkswagen Split Window Panelwagen Kastenwagen NO RESERVE!

NO RESERVE!!! You are bidding on a RARE 1965 VW Split Window Panelwagen(Kastenwagen)! This one is slammed(lowered). All the outside lights and turn signals work. the interior dome light is inoperative(may just be a bulb). The speedometer just stopped working as well. so it has been disconnected to save the cable from breaking. The gas gauge works great and I do have the church key for the gas tank. It has an 1835cc engine and beetle transmission. It has an electric fuel pump and double carbs. It runs well and stops well. but it does have a bit of play in the steering wheel. The tires are super low profile. The cargo area and front floor have some issues but all in all. it's still a solid bus. The pictures show the problem areas under the carpet(no surprises on this vehicle). There is an ipod friendly. suitcase speakerbox with an amp in the back. It was wired directly the battery but is now disconnected. The pictures were taken 28MAR15 as we drove it into the hills of west Austin. TX. The engine has plenty of power to climb up hills! There are safari windows on the front and back and the fresh air box seems to work just fine! The passenger side vent window is missing the lock. The bus has 3 different keys(1 for the drivers door/ignition/enginecompartment. 1 for passenger door. 1 for the rear hatch) The side cargo doors lock from the inside but do not have a key. This is a great bus and I hate to see it go. but right now we are a 3 VW and 2 boring car family(with only 2 drivers) and a garage for only 1 vehicle.
