1964 Volvo 544 - Project

For your consideration is a 1964 Volvo 544 with a clear title. We are in the process of restoring another 544 and this car was acquired as a parts car. Once we got into restoration process. we realized we didn't need that many parts off of this one. so it is still a fairly intact vehicle. The car is currently in non-running condition. but it would serve as a great platform for a restoration or resto-mod. The following is a summary of the good and bad aspects of the car:The Good:The car does come with what we believe is the original engine and transmission. We have not tried to get the car running. so we cannot attest to the functionality of either. Most of the body panels are in good condition. though there is bondo on some of the fenders and there are the dents you would expect from a 51 year old car that hasn't been pampered. The interior is fairly complete including both front seats. the rear seat. steering wheel and gauge cluster. All of the glass is intact though there may be some fogging on the windshield. Most all of the body trim is present. though it may need to have a few dents worked out. The Bad:As mentioned above. the car does not run and drive but it can be rolled onto a trailer. Most of the engine is intact. The floorboards and trunk floor will need to be replaced. There is rust on the frame. but we don't have a lift so I don't know how bad it is. We're not sure if as to the integrity or completeness of the driveline andor suspensionThere's no question this car needs some attention. but you are starting to see more of these restored or resto-modded. With a large engine compartment. it opens up the possibility for all types of engine swaps. And with a roomy interior. there is plenty of room for a roll cage. The car is located in Orange. VA and is being sold as-is. where-is. We will assist with shipping or loading onto your trailer. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions or request more pictures.
