1987 Volvo 240 DL

Selling a 1987 Volvo 240 DL located in a Cincinnati. Ohio. Purchased 4 months ago from original owner. The car is in average/good condition for its age. Clean and runs good. A couple of light scratches on the paint and some rust that was repaired. but nothing major. After I purchased. sent to my local Volvo dealership to check out and fix a couple minor problems. After putting $4250 into the car at the dealership. in addition to the cost of purchasing the vehicle for $3000. I am in over my head and would like to sell. The good news is the car is in much better condition than when I bought it and looks and runs great. Work at the dealership included new transmission mounts. power steering rack. fixing a tail shaft transmission leak. brand new tail lights. brand new headlights. new battery. new windshield. new side pockets on front doors. new interior parking brake cover. new exterior pinstriping around entire car. buffing out a couple scratches and detailing the interior. In addition. changed the oil and had brakes. tires and the rest of the engine checked out to make sure everything was good to go. I can provide the paperwork on all items listed. One issue still remains. the odometer stopped working a week after I bought it. It was working when I bought it and I have the title to prove it. I hit the trip reset button and it stopped turning. Only 10-15 miles on the car since then. I'm told its a small plastic gear that is known to break and can be replaced if bought online. The Volvo dealership wanted too much to replace. so I held off as I'm told its a DIY project. This is really a good deal if you are in search for a classic Volvo. The 240 is the legendary workhorse that will run forever. If you bid on the car. you must have a positive eBay history or contact me before bidding.
