Great car for Volvo enthusiast or collector. This car was purchased by my mother in 1984 and driven until around 1995 in Texas. After that she moved it to her vacation home in Colorado and drove it very infrequently. Due to poor health she stopped going to Colorado about 10 years ago and the car has been very rarely used since--thus, the very low mileage (82,810). It has always been garaged and has mostly original parts.
The car needs some mechanical work. It runs and I drove it as recently as last month. However, it stalls and will not immediately restart for an unknown reason. It is currently at Airport Road Auto Repair in Breckenridge(970-453-1823)and Gary (mechanic) may be able to provide additional details. Last we talked, he suspected a bad sensor that was providing too rich a mixture and flooding the engine. AC does not work. Radio (not original) does not work. Body paint and interior leather seats are original but need some TLC in a few spots. Very few signs of rust or corrosion on body or frame. In pictures, it looks like the hood is dislodged, but that is just because these were taken in the shop where it is being worked on. I am fairly sure that the only accident it has been in was a minor fender-bender in late 1980s. The driver door has a dent from being forced opened too far once. Currently it has studded snow tires with <5,000 miles. Needs a new battery.
I am in North Carolina, so will need to work out logistics of title transfer with the buyer. Gary at auto repair shop has offered to help and I have other friends close by.
No reserve on this car, and I would love for it to go to someone who will fix her up and appreciate her for the next 30 years.
