But Americans were not impressed by thebadge engineeringand the marketing agreement ended in 1960, nd from 1961, oyal Enfields were available in the US under their own name. The largest Enfield 'Indian' was a 700cc twin named the Chief, ike its American predecessors ......... I bought this chopper from a dealer in Central Pennsylvania, ho made sure it was clean ... I would like to keep this bike, ut, simply have to many and no time to complete .. I have listed many pics, lease check them out.. and, will answer any questions that I can .. anopportunityto own a true survivor from the 1960's is rare, especially one as rare a an "Indian" .. good luck in your bidding ...

I just received this message from the great people at "battlegraphics" .....Graham Scarth, hairman of the Royal Enfield Owners Club in the UK confirms that, ased on the motor number you provided and factory records: "Engine # SMR 4409 is from an Indian Apache despatched from Redditch in June 1957 to the Brockhouse depot at West Bromwich (UK) for subsequent export." The Apache is a rare model. Graham asks that you let him know the additional number that should appear on the front of the crankcase so he can add that to the factory records. (I believe this number relates the motor to its transmission, nformation the club is trying to gather). All best........... Don't let this RareOpportunity to own n "Old School" Classic slip away ..... Good Luck !!
