MotoeXotica is proud to announce another vintage motorcycle to our inventory, very original and rarely seen 1937 DKW SB200.

Once the world’s largest motorcycle manufacture, ampf-Kraft-Wagen (DKW) eventually transformed into the Audi. Founded by a Danish engineer in 1916, riginally tried to develop a steam powered car but soon turned his attention to small 2-stroke engines. Starting with a functioning toy engine it was soon enlarged to be placed into a motorcycle frame, alled Das Kleine Wunder “the little marvel.” By 1932 the four companies of DKW, udi, orch, nd Wanderer enveloped each other to form the Auto Union; which though a series of other mergers eventually became the Audi Group of today.

There were two types of SB 200’s built; the first generation from 1933-1936 and the second and final generation from 1936-1938. This vintage DKW has remained as original as possible and is in fantastic show condition. Painted with a black base, hick silver stripes on both sides of the fuel tank and is outlined by yellow pin striping. The paint is in great shape with only very minor imperfections found upon closer inspection. DKW emblems are either painted of stamped in various locations around this motorcycle.
