BMW R75/5 SWB 1972

I purchased this machine approx. 1 year ago for a restoration project and no longer have the time or the space. The history is that it suffered a transmission failure in the early 80's (last registered in '81!!) and parked indoors since. The original transmission is included (partly opened. as I suspect the original owner didn't have the correct tools to remove the output flange). I am also throwing in an additional 4-Speed Transmission which is good. however I would suggest an overhaul such as new bearings / seals if it were to be used. Notes:Comes with original small black tank (great condition. no dents or major rust). and I am including the larger style tank (please note dent on rear of tank. easily fixed)Transmission has been removed (both are pictured)Instrument looks to be in good working order. but not tested. (headlight bucket/housing is very clean. with no rust or corrosion)U-Joint seems to be in good order. again. the bike was dry / indoors for the last 30 years. Engine turns over. but has NOT been started. since I suspect the early 80's ;-)Considering its age. very little to no rust. Anyone interested in this machine knows that the BMW R75/5 is arguably THE classic of all the BMW Air Cooled - Type 247 era twins. This machine is honest. and VERY complete. The box of parts pictured contains some of the missing parts you may notice such as rear-turn signal lamps etc. She's a far cry from a 'basket case' machine. nd should be relatively easy to restore. Currently being stored in a temperature and humidity controlled workshop. Motorcycle is based in SW. North Carolina.
