I am currently hoping to help a good friend sell a few of his old motorcycles, e may be listing more BMWs, Twins & Singles) an Indian Sport Scout, arley WL, hizzer, implex, undapp, ooper, okon,Near-A Car, nd a few others. Many of his motorcycles are for sale locally so we may end an auction early if necessary.
This particular motorcycle is a 1952 BMW R-51/3, t was nicely restored, as fresh paint and chrome with parts replaced as needed. We fired it up this afternoon, t does not smoke and the engine runs strong. My friend restored this motorcycle himself and he has before and after pictures of the cycle, his was restored from a complete motorcycle it was not built up from parts. The VIN number matches on the frame, ngine, nd head stock badge.
We are selling the motorcycle with a realistic reserve, o buy it now on this one, e want to see what the auction will do. The motorcycle is being sold as is where is with no warranty, hipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser. Please do not ask me the reserve, e are happy to ship to most countries, lease feel free to do your own research on shipping my Zip Code is 14441.
On Jun-11-15 at 14:41:25 PDT, eller added the following information:I stopped by my friends place today and reviewed the receipts. Many of the receipts are from HEIDS BMW in upstate NY, ost of the work such as top end engine work, ings, alves, uides, eats, carburetor work, tc., as done there. There are also a good number of receipts from BENCH MARK WORKS in Mississippi, or many small parts, ard parts, ubber partsandwheelspokes. I have reviewed the records I find information on engine work, HERE IS NO INFORMATION on lower end work and no mention of the slingers being replaced. Thank you!
