Description

Here is a rare opportunity to own a VERY VERY LOW MILEAGE R80RT! Touring bikes like these typically have 100,000+ miles on them by now. But this one has only been ridden 18,400 miles! This is not a typo! This Colorado Red Pearl 1986 monoshock R80RT was hardly ever ridden and was stored in a climate controlled showroom. All of the rubber bits are soft and pliable, he paint shines like new and all of the aluminum is spotless. The chrome is like new as are the BMW saddlebags. The saddlebags appear to have never been used. I have the keys to everything, ncluding the storage compartments in the fairing. Everything is like new, ith the exception of a few minor blemishes to be expected on a bike with 18,400 miles, hich the previous owner touched up well. Although this bike is nearly 30 years old, t defies it's age due to it's very low miles and proper storage conditions. The 800cc engine is as smooth an airhead ever produced by BMW. This bike starts on command, hifts as smooth as silk, tops on a dime, nd handles super smooth. Everything works as it should, his bike needs nothing and is ready to tour. Tires have a ton of life left in them. Fly in and ride it around the world! It has a few aftermarket accessories; Corbin low seat (I'm 6 feet tall and fit perfectly, y wife is 5'-8" and she fits too), eavy duty sidestand (looks like a Brown), hrottle lock cruise control, lectric accessory port for a heated vest (has factory heated grips too), attery tender port. All very sensible upgrades to make this bike as usable as can be. Never dropped, ot a repaint, his is a legit low mileage gem! A bike of this quality is very hard to come by, o don't let this one get away!
Clear title is in my name and is ready to go. Bring cash and ride her away, r you can set up a transportation company to pick it up after the check clears my bank.
Call me if you'd like to make an appointment to come see this bike. 917-952-1680.
Thanks!

By the way, totally understand the concern about bidding/buying without laying eyeballs and hands on the bike first, specially if you can't come here to see it before the auction ends. So I offer this peace of mind: if you win the auction and for some reason don't like what you see when you come to finalize the deal/pick it up, OU ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO COMPLETE THE DEAL. You can walk, o questions asked. THAT is how confident I am in this motorcycle. It's beautiful and runs as good as it looks. In return, just ask that you bid responsibly. Don't bid unless you have the funds in hand to complete the deal. Thanks!

In response to a few inquiries: no, he bike has never been apart, lmost all of the factory green colored witness markings are still evident on many fasteners. It has not ever needed any repair or major service, nly routine replacement of consumables. The original factory fuel fill "flapper" is still installed in the tank filler neck. The original emissions plumbing is also still intact and not molested, s is often the case. It's a time capsule type motorcycle, or sure. I have spare keys for every lock. The under seat tool tray and factory tool kit comes with the bike, es. I do not have a repair manual for it, orry....I didn't need one, hat's good news! :-)
