For Sale: A 2005 BMW R1200RT - VIN #WB10388035ZM16019 with 57,273 miles. I bought the bike used from BMW Motorcycles of Grand Rapids, I (great people to deal with too!). Here are the details on the bike, ncluding the service history I could gather from the BMW servicing dealers in Minnesota on the prior owner:
- At 55k miles, oon Motor Service, BMW dealer in Monticello, N replaced the rear main seal.
- At 53,621 miles, eo's South, BMW dealer in Lakeville, N did the fuel pump recall service. Leo's serviced this bike from the 15k mile mark and did all of the oil changes, ires, rake pads on the bike. The fuel pump recall was the only "major" service they had to do on the bike. Up until 15k miles, have no service history.
- The 6k mile service was completed at 55.6k miles by BMW Motorcycles of Grand Rapids.
- Any BMW recalls have been completed, ncluding the recent "rear wheel flange" - completed in June, 015.
- Metzler Z8s front and rear have about 1,500 miles on them with no gouges, epair plugs, tc.
- New Exide battery at 55.6k miles. Steibel Horn (LOUD!!) and one OEM accessory outlet.
- Heated Grips (included is an extra pair of new OEM grips - not the heated part, ust the rubber grips), BS Brakes, ower Windshield, n-Board Computer and Cruise Control.
- I just had the side bags repainted as they had some scuffs and scratches on them. The painter used OEM BMW paint for a perfect match.
- OEM tool kit, anuals, wo keys.
The bike is in very good condition both mechanically and cosmetically. With any used bike that has been ridden, here are minor, nd I do mean minor, cratches on it. There is a chip on the left leading-edge side of the fairing and it has gone through the clear coat but, ot into the paint. On the right side right around the turn signal there is a small 1/4" scratch that is through the paint to the primer but, ot to the plastic...about as wide as a pencil line. The ends of both mirrors have small scuffs on them. On all of the items mentioned, ou really have to look for them but, gain, or a bike with 57k miles on it, t looks VERY, ERY nice as shown in the pictures.
I will not crate the bike nor ship the bike. However, will help in anyway that I can with your shipper....including, elivering the BMW to a local truck stop(Gallahan Truck Stop on US 31 North; Peru, N) to help save shipping costs as it would be considered a "Commercial Pick-Up".
Please feel free to contact me with any specific questions or maybe a closer up pictures of any specific area.
I am staring the auction at a VERY, ERY low $5,500.00 and NO RESERVE! This is an extremely nice bike for this kind of money! I have a clear Indiana title in-hand.
