This is abeautiful example of a one owner machine that I am selling for a friend of mine.I remember when he bought this bike 25 yearsagoand the smile on his face the first time I saw him on it.He bought a new GS a couple of years ago and has decided to sell this bike.It has always been stored indoors and the oil has been changed every 1000 miles with Amsoil synthetic oil.It runs fantastic as the YouTube video shows.It is all original except for the Ohlins rear shock as the original BMW one is,wellinadequate as most already know. The Luftmeister exhaust is also not original however the original exhaust was removed when the bike was a year old so it is in really good shape and will go with the bike as the Luftmeister has a patch on it but works fine.The bike has a few scratches here and there after 25 years and is mechanically quite sound.2 years ago itreceived new tires and a new battery.It has heated grips everything works well.The carb airtube rubbers are showing their age and will need to be replaced soon.There is a small crack in thewindshield.This is the first year for this model and the one that started this new genre ofmotorcycles.It is such a blast to ride and will give many miles of joy to the new owner.It comes with the original toolkit,spare dual seat in great shape that cost $600 new.The left mirror is missing.The toolkit tray and the owners manual are missing in action for now and if the turn up will go with the bike but they may not turn up.The photos and video tell the story.
