1970 BMW R60/5

This is a fantastically well preserved edition of the 1970 R60/5. The cycle is in excellent shape with only a very small amount of wear showing for a bike that is 45 years old. There is no rust and all chrome shows extremely well as evidenced in the pictures. There are a couple of small imperfections showing on the tank where it has been bumped over the years but the dents are very small and only noticeable upon close inspection. Several retro touches from the /2 series have been added to this cycle to add to the classic look. Bar end turn signals have been added and the larger turn signals front and rear have been removed. Also, he larger "Mickey Mouse" ear rear view mirror has been replaced with the stylish headlight mounted mirrors from earlier vintage BMW's. (All stock parts will go with the sale if the new owner prefers to return the bike to stock.) Many restoration tasks have been accomplished to enhance the reliability of this vintage machine. The following items have been recently undertaken resulting in a bike that starts, uns and cruises like it did the day it rolled off the factory floor.
