This motorcycle is in beautiful original un-restored condition with only 10. 81 actual miles in factory red smoke paint. Everything works perfectly and all maintenance has been kept current through the 11 years I have owned this motorcycle. I am the 3rd registered owner having purchased the motorcycle from the second owner with approximately 1800 actual miles at the time of my purchase. The 2nd owner purchased the motorcycle from Irv Seever BMW of Southern California where the motorcycle was consigned after being in storage since practically new. The 2nd owner was a collector of BMW motorcycles and owned the motorcycle for a very short time and only actually rode the motorcycle approximately 100 miles before deciding to sell. His reason for selling was that he favored the sportier RS and S models over the touring model. The Continental tires are in as new condition with less 1000 miles of service. As the pictures show fairing lowers have been removed but are available with mounting hardware. The final drive (FD) has been exchanged for a FD with a gear ratio of 34/11 which results in a much more easy to ride machine especially when fully loaded with a passenger on board. I no longer have the original 32/11 ratio FD. The Yuasa battery was just placed in service this month. At approximately 6K miles the motorcycle became afflicted with valve recession. Repair and valve replacement work was performed at Big Twin BMW of Boise. Idaho. The seat is a replica saddle from Sargent Cycle products with a firmer than stock foam. The oil pan has been removed. cleaned. and pan gasket replaced several times. Brake fluid has been changed annually.
