this is a 1958 BSA that i bought from an old vietnam vet in Washington state along with many other old parts. he has had it since the 70's. he bought it from a friend who brought it up from california. i asked him about the "WA" stamped beside the engine# but he didnt know why it was there and thought that maybe it was done when it was brought into washington. it was there when he bought it. the engine # suggests a 58 Spitfire scrambler but i cant confirm that and i havent been able to find out anything regarding the "WA" on it. i was told that the difference is in the engine internals but i am not about to take it apart. it has a Goldstar front hub with 3 ribs on the drum and the knockouts still in place. also the vented gas tank. no speedo or tach. lights resemble the period add ons available at that time he started it for me when i bought it a year ago and i also started it when i brought it to B. C. it has not been started since. maybe someone on here can ad more details but this is all i know about iteasily taken back into the US using a broker in Sumas WA. can be crated in a metal motorcycle crate also for a feeYOU are responsible for shipping arrangements. i can assist in loading as i have a forkliftdont ask how much to ship. i dont know ask a shipping company like U-ship
