1971 BSA A65 Thunderbolt 650

This is a 1971 BSA A65 Thunderbolt 650. It has been sitting in a garage for many years out of use. I bough the bike from the 2nd owner and it comes with a clear title. The speedo shows 8. 60 miles. On april 20. 2015 I made sure there was oil in it and I put gas in the tank. It fired up after 3 kicks. for about a minute it smoked badly. then cleared up. Since then I have run it a few times and driven it around the yard with no smoke. It will still need carb work. it leaks gas out of the bowl and is dirty from sitting. The twist throttle mechanism or cable will also need some attention. The slightest turn of the throttle will bring the RPMs way up. The bike shifts through all the gears. This is a great project bike. I am not too familiar with the English bikes. so please ask any questions before bidding and I will do my best to answer them. This bike is being sold as is. I did notice a broken turn signal lens in the front. the right side of the tank is dented around the emblem. the rear loop/fender bracket has a broken off tube of some sort. It looked to maybe be a sissy bar mount? It should be visible in one of the pictures. The right side peg looks to be bent. Remember. it is a 40+ year old motorcycle. it has its fair share of scratches. scrapes and scuffs. Frame # CE02780A65Motor # CE 05308 A65TI will not make any shipping arrangements.
