For Sale: Very Correct and Original Restored 1969 BSA Rocket 3
Bought the bike in 1990, ot it running and then parked it until I began restoration January 2007. All original sheet metal. Rear fender is not pin striped. NOS Seat. Engine was rebuilt by Charlie Barnes and has over 600 miles on it. Tri-Spark ignition, ew Amal carbs, speed gear box. Original wheels were re-chromed with polished stainless steel spokes. Chromed parts were re-chromed. New wire harness. I installed electric start during the rebuild, o all the relays and heavy gauge wiring required to support the amperage draw is installed. Battery from a 99 Triumph Sprint ST fits in battery box perfectly and has plenty of power to turn the motor over. I removed the T160 electric start clutch and clutch housing and installed the original with correct vent hose from primary to airbo, o you will need a T160 clutch housing and clutch basket to have electric start again, verything else electrically is there, ncluding a starter button (used a horn button) on the right handlebar. I will include the T160 starter as part of this sale. Correct Clear Hooters installed and they sound GREAT! Added some pictures to show how starter and horn relay were positioned in front of the airbox on a new bracket. Podtronics mounted on tool box where rectifier used to go, nd a bracket for the Trispark was mounted under the tool box as room was getting tight and i wanted to maintain the tool box utility. This is a very nice Rocket 3 that runs very strong.
Pictures tell the story, ut contact me if you have any questions. .
