Up for sale is a very interesting hybrid vintage mx bike. Its a BSA B50MX in a Maico frame. Great motor in a very nice handling frame! Not completely sure what year the motor is. See the pic for the serial number. Says BSA on the Pad so I'm told the motor would be a 1971 through April 1973. I understand these B50MX motors are getting really hard to find and the pre 1976 Maico stuff also seems to be fairly rare. I would think this would be perfect for the new Early Sportman class in AHRMA. I took this in trade for another bike I had a year or two ago but have not got around to doing anything with it. I started the bike when I first got it but have not run it since. The fairly small battery is dead now. Nice things: Great compression. The Maico aluminum fuel tank is in good to excellent condition. It is clean and dry and relatively undented (see the pics). The Seat is in good to excellent conditionThe forks are in good condition - I will supply another set of fork gaiters are the ones on it are worn/torn. At least you can see the forks are not rusted! The custom exhaust is in good conditionNew front and rear tires. New throttle cable & gripsNice Maico front and rear hubsCustom oil tankUnder the seat looks pretty cleanOriginal B50MX VIN on the motor. Oil CoolerI believe the frame is a 1974 or 1974 1/2 frame but not a Maico expert so you be the expert. Needs or Not So goods: BatteryThrottle cable rerouted. Rear aluminum rim has been welded - no issues but thought I'd mention it.
