2008 25th anniversary edition Buell Lightning Scg. It is a project bike that needs finishing. It is a 1 of a kind take on a modern cafe racer with a retro aluminum hand made body. The body is made from 16 gauge 3000 series aluminum. subframe made from 3/4" steel tubing. Left hand side air scoop made from aluminum as well. Stock oil cooler mounts removed from front subrame. LSL headlight. Handmade headers built out of stainless tubing. and a Burns Stainless premade muffler that is repackable. All header materials were sourced from Burns Stainless. this is quality stuff. no summit racing junk. The header and exhaust system was $1200 alone in materials. The exhaust hanger and o2 bung needs to be welded in. Grand Stan Designs keyless gas cap. 3k miles on the new Goodyear belt from Hardley. There is no oil cooler on bike. one needs to be added (will not fit in stock location). I have purchased a complete wiring harness from another bike and it has been cut to remove a few feet of wiring for remounting the fuse box and computer underneath the air box (instead of factory tail position). New handle bar controls as well(wiring harness). I have a set of clip on's but they are just for mock up purposes. Starter needs to be rebuilt or replaced. it was struggling to turn over the last time I rode the bike back in Sept. 2012. Front forks need to be rebuilt and sealed. I have all the parts for the forks to be rebuilt as well. Primary and cam covers have been powder coated satin black. Engine was completely resealed after being split to rebuild the transmission. Crank sensor o-ring needs to be replaced (only leak on the engine). There are a few fins on the rear jug that are slightly bent from building the headers without rotating the engine. Muller Power Clutch. Replacement Ball and Ramp mechanism. The bike has 28k miles on it. Always ran Hardley Screamin Eagle engine oil and swapped to redline shock proof transmission oil at 15k miles. No gauge cluster. I just ran a stand alone tach. no tach comes with the bike. The bike was downed taking off from a turn at a stop light on a new rear tire. clutch handle and peg were replaced. The swingarm area that hit has been sanded down and it bare. My plan was to disassemble the entire chassis and replace all bearings and brakes. then powdercoating everything but the aluminum body. Clean. non op'd title in hand. New in box parts: New Old Stock Factory Buell ECU. New Riviera Primo silver clutch spring (medium). New Barnett clutch kit(frictions/steels). Siemens DEKA IV Mototron 60lb/hr injectors. Twin Motorcycles bulletproof intake gaskets and retainers. Harley fork rebuild parts (will need shock oil). Delivery mileage Eaton M45 Super Charger from a Mini Cooper. The previous owner cleaned and painted the housing silver. The coating on the compressor fins is in almost perfect condition. so it's obviously a brand new unit. The supercharger was planned to install with the above parts. 1 of a kind Buell that definitely will turn heads. I'd love to keep it but it's been sitting for 2 years now without much progress. Again. this is a project bike. not a runner at the moment. Feel free to email at bajabomber87@yahoo. com or text at 831-905-2424 for a quick response to discuss the bike.
