I believe this is a 1948 Cushman Package Car. I have had this Package Car for about 24 years stored inside. I started to rebuild/restore it and just don't have the time to finish it. The metal body is a new reproduction from Dennis Carpenter that cost $850. 00 alone. The 2 new seats from Dennis cost $125. 00. The 2 new Cushman Script tires and tubes about $150. 00I media blasted the 2 front rims and dash parts and repainted them black. The original engine is a Cushman Husky 2 7/8 bore 2 3/4 stroke model 19M851 turns over smoothly and has compression. The original transmission shifts through the gears. I believe 2 forward and 1 reverse. The steamer trunk was on it when I bought it and some people actually used these to store packages in for delivery. The front can be used for a variety of different set ups including box. insulated cooler. flat bed and stake bed. The front bumper can be adjusted forward or back to accommodate your needs or taste. The front bumper is spring steel and the body surround is also spring steel in great shape and a hard to find option. This package car is a great candidate for a complete restoration. the paint on it is only to protect against surface rust. It is a great start with a straight and solid frame.
