1978 Honda CB400 cafe-style motorcycle. You're not in Kansas anymore. you're on Ebay. and you may very well be viewing the bike that you've been waiting for. Trying not to use catch phrases. but this bike ROCKS!! It is every bit the suburban weapon of choice for various reasons. but lets start from front to back. Front fender has been shortened and painted with a matte black finish. same as the frame. Forks are sporting ribbed fork gaiters. Braided front brake line with red anodized banjo bolts. Wheels are striped front and back. red and green. Also. green number plate and gold anodized accents applied. Gives the bike a bit of European flavor. Fork-mounted clip-ons with aftermarket throttle and non-gloss coke bottle hand grips. Also has new choke cable mounted on top of triple tree. Cool vintage cafe-style windscreen with high wattage headlight. Next. the gas tank. New translucent Clarke. This. to me. is too cool because you can see how much gas is in the tank at any given time. Right now. at the time of pics. it has about 1/8 of a gallon. Talk about a foolproof gas gauge. If your eyes work. the gas gauge is working. If you are viewing from your phone or hand held device. it may be hard to see. Possibly. wait until you can get to a computer. and see the bike on a larger screen. It definitely deserves it. The camera loves the bike. Behind that is an aftermarket solo seat. Under that. running a mono shock with a heavy spring rate. I weigh 180 and the ride is perfect. Also. the shock is on it's next to softest setting. so if you weigh less you can dial it all the way down. or if you weigh more you have several choices going up. Also. the rebound clicker is mid-way. Headers are stock with aftermarket slash cut slip-ons with option of removing baffles. They are in place at the time of this listing. If you like loud. remove the baffles. that's your choice. New dual sport tires front and back. The bike was used occasionally before the transformation. so the servicing was adequate. but I have recently gone through everything to bring the check list up to date. Here's the best part. at least to me. about this bike. And this is the part of the description I was looking forward to. This bike NEEDS NO BATTERY!! It has a full field lighting coil and pulser coil. When you turn the key on. it's usually one or two kicks of the kick start. The bike starts. and everything is up and running. You not only have the advantage of less weight for a true looking street fighter. and the best part is this bike can sit for a year and electrically be good to go. How sweet is that? You have a high wattage front headlight. horn (which is an interrupter switch located on top of the triple tree). and a brake/running tail light. There are no blinkers. Being this bike is a 1978. it falls under Vintage category. and most states only require hand signals. So. there it is folks!! A no-fuss user friendly cafe-styled street fighter that doesn't even require you to worry about scuffing the rear fender when you throw your boot over. This bike reminds me of the old Westerns. when the hero went after the bank robbers and ran up behind his horse and jumped on and took off. Of course. he got everyone's attention. I'm sure there are some details that I may have missed. If you have any questions. please feel free to ask. COMES WITH CLEAR TEXAS TITLE AND SIGNED BILL OF SALE. Winning bidder has 30 days to arrange pick-up. If new owner needs more time. please contact us. We will easily work something out. Bike will be stored safely indoors.
