Up for auction is my 2006 Ducati Super Sport 1000 DS, he last year without anti lock brakes or stability control as far as I know (truly a riders Bike), t has 2.525 miles more or less, porting 95+% Michelin Pilot's (only 300+/- miles on them, he red chain and Ducati dealer service) wrapping black Marchesini Wheels as you can see in the pictures. This sale also includes the kit to convert it for two up riding with grab bar and everything else needed, t comes with the one up cowl (the cowl/cover/tail piece has some small cracks along the edge that meets the seat and are depicted in one of the pictures provided above) installed and the two up kit wrapped in plastic and will be boxed up safely for shipping, ne Red Shoei Full Face Helmet (I think it's a Large and was used for passengers and friends) and a pair of Red, ot In Original Box but never worn and will ship in a Nike Box Red Puma Ducati shoes in size 11.5 US if that's your size and you want them? Just say so and I'll box them up and include them in the with the bike. There are two keys with this bike, ne original black key and one spare that I had cut and cloned and is the one shown in the pictures of the dash with the bike running. Also included is a red & black high quality/heavy duty DuraGard well fitting bike cover that I received with her when I purchased her. I sourced the one up tail piece and the clip on bars myself after I purchased her. The racing tail piece isn't easy to come by and very expensive if you can find one. I left the passenger pegs installed although a passenger can't be carried in her current configuration. She would have to be converted back to the two up variationo to carry a passenger.
Please keep in mind this bike is a BEAST! And should be ridden with respect to it's torque and power.
This bike is worth more to ME than the NADA or any other valuing guide will tell you it's worth and I would rather hang it on the wall in my man cave as the piece of art that she is than give it away Please feel free to call me at (813)949-3503 (leave your name and number if I don't answer and I'll call back on my cell, r you can call back later in case you would like to ask anything about this bike in real time?). I will answer if I'm home.
Here's the Youtube Video with a starting and running walk around :. You can probably hear the dry clutch (I do), forgot to pull the clutch lever in so you could hear the engine without the sound of the clutch added. I will gladly shoot another video upon request? Could even shoot one going down the road, OV with my GoPro Chesty and a buddy on the ground for that static coming and going perspective. In fact if she doesn't sell in this auction? I'll do that before relisting her, ecause I will relist her within a week or two anyway if she doesn't sell this time. The part that covers the rear of the seat wasn't clear coated when I got the tail piece so the decals where exposed, o I had it cleared at a high end paint shop here in Tampa. The close up picture of the tail piece edge against the seat are to show the hair line cracks in the fiberglass (or whatever material it's made of) just along the edge where it meets the seat. There are now pictures of the two up conversion kit, he Red Shoei Full Face Helmet (not my personal helmet, ut one I bought for passengers or friends. The red Pumas pictured aren't riding shoes though I was planning on riding in them, ust never put them on and tossed out or miss placed the original box they came in??? ) and a red and black DuraGard Bike cover that fits her nicely, ike a glove.
I do have the Bike listed locally for sale or trade, o I reserve the right to end the auction early in the case I sell her locally?
Thanks for checking out my auction and good luck!
Sincerely, Frank aka TampaNative
PS: My reserve is significantly less than $1,500.00 above the starting bid. Also, 'm seriously considering just keeping the bike. IF I do list it again after this auction ends, f without a sale? It will be the last time it will be seen on eBay, t will be my Christmas gift to myself and my New Years resolution will be to learn to enjoy the bike on very short but quick rides with nice rests at coffee shops or lunch holes etc... I'm feeling pretty neutral about it now, hich is an improvement. Good luck to you or me!
