Unique Ducati for your collection or excellent project bike for a cafe racer. etc! Bone Crusher has been my ice bike for the past 6 years. We have had many hours of fun on the ice and it's the bike everyone gets to ride wherever I show up. It is also one of the most photographed ice racers. It certainly isn't the fastest but I can keep up with other vintage bikes. depending on who is riding of course. I'm going sailing and hope to go where there will be no ice. So Bone Crusher goes to the highest bidder!He started life as a Motrans 350 scrambler. The tank is in good shape and original. I installed a 450 springer engine with a high compression piston. There is no oil control ring so he does burn oil. The deck height isn't right with this piston so the engine is not a screamer. It is a stump puller though but does not rev up well. This could be a carb issue. I'm using the original VBH 29. It does start easily though. I will include the stock piston if I can find it. It will probably work better. Ignition is magneto and works fine as long as the points are clean. I have been replacing plugs this year when the spark is weak. This hasn't been a problem in the past. It usually starts on the second kick even after storage over the Summer. Clutch and gearbox work fine. Forks are 35mm from a 450 RT and work well. There is a nice center stand but no side kickstand. If you want really secure parking. just lean back and rev! I left it this way overnight once and it froze solid! Took lots of ice chopping and some salt to free it!Important: I will sell this bike with either the ice tires on it (including wraps) or with the original wheels and tires. also with flanged. aluminum rims. It is the buyer's choice. I will sell the unused wheels in a separate auction. These go for big money!You can easily part out this bike for more than the starting bid. I sure hope someone will do something with it as a whole bike but there are jerks out there who destroy historic bikes for $$$. If you do.
