I purchased this bike from an insurance auction last October with hopes of fixing it up over the winter and enjoy it in the spring. The bike sustained a front end collision and showed damage on the front and side (see last photo to see how the bike looked when I received it). Luckily it was equipped with frame sliders which protected most of the vital engine components during the accident. With everything buttoned back up the bike passed an inspection by the Wisconsin State Police in November and I now have a lien-free. rebuilt title in hand and a bike that is in hibernation until the warm weather returns. I have only put about 50 miles or so on the bike (it gets cold in Wisconsin) but mechanically it is in fine order. At just over 4500 miles on the odometer I went ahead and changed the fluids and filter to be on the safe side even though Ducati factory service intervals are not required until 7500 miles. I have outlined all parts below that were either repaired or replaced. With the exception of a gel comfort seat. all parts placed on the bike are OEM Ducati pieces and have been installed to factory specifications. Both shift and rear brake levers have rash and are slightly bent. but they are serviceable so I didn't replace them. The highbeam toggle knob is missing but the switch is still operational. Tires have probably 40% of tread left before they should be replaced. Currently garage-kept on a battery tender. Here's the part you've heard a million times: I'm not really in a rush to sell it. I'm offering it at a low price because I have a new Scrambler on the way :) The book retail value for a this bike with a clean title is $10. 35. which I know is entirely too much. If you are looking for a bike in showroom condition. this may not be the one for you. but for less than the price of a new entry-level monster you can have this great example of a class-leading bike with superbike level performance. Will deliver to anywhere in the lower 48 states for $500 flat rate. less if you're closer to Milwaukee. email for a quote. Feel free to call/text me with any questions. 443-758-3159.
