Description

1990 Harley Davidson FLSTF Fat Boy " Grey Ghost". This is the first year Fat Boy and a very collectible bike. Especially as far as the evolution years go. These are going up in value every year and are becoming rarer and rarer with each passion year. The number of these left world wide through Harley Davidson data base is debated and it sounds like the consensus is somewhere around 1500 number remaining. Please have money in hand and be 100% sure before bidding on this bike. Thanks in advance and ask any and all questions before the auctions end. This particular one is in great shape and is currently registered and in great mechanical shape. Engine is not only in great mechanical shape and been well cared for but also cosmetically beautiful machine. the original silver case's. cylinders heads. tappet cover and rockers are in fantastic shape. The configuration of finishes on the "Grey Ghost" is unique and really makes for a beautiful engine and this one is in great shape as well as transmission. As you can see in the pictures the original owner had a driveway accident and has a dent in the one side of the gas tank. Only bright spot is that it is a easy dent to pull for restoration as there are no crease's at all and a smooth dent to operate with and correct. also has a couple lower small finder chips that I show and other than that paint is pretty decent. I also put the bike on a lift and got under it and frame rails are in great shape. Also the original owner unfortunately not a yellow fan and he de-yellowed it of the original yellow rings on the points. derby covers and middle rings. He replaced them with Harley Davidson OEM "Live To Ride" Covers as you can see in the pictures. Please examine all the pictures I included for the exact condition of the bike which is pretty good cosmetically and great mechanically bike rides like a top and shifts as it should and engine sounds great. Speaking of that the exhaust has been changed out to a very nice high dollar performance 2 into 1 Vance & Hines exhaust system. Has a great sound and is a really good performance exhaust. Also notice that he left the original painted exhaust bracket intact. Which is a plus for someone wanting to do a stock restoration on this bike. One less part to track down. Also has a pair of Fat Boy FLSTN saddlebags has been added. a chrome tool box(no key for it but universal key easy to get one or an ignition key but ignition is of course open) as well as a chrome sissy bar with a brass eagle insert I believe from the 80's and luggage rack added. Also something to mention the top right corner of nacelle cover has a small dent. Please refer to pictures. Looks like can be tapped/rolled out easily and if not only a $30 part to replace. Also chrome coil cover is missing but the bracket is there. another very inexpensive common part. I have plenty of these and did not think about it until I had already taken the pictures and looking at them today to do the listing. Do not miss this opportunity to get a great collectible Harley Davidson of historical significance at a good price. All in all this is a great bike to get and ride as it is and enjoy with more than likely years and years of reliable service with a limited unique bike and/or this is a great candidate for a person to get this and do a restoration on it back to factory OEM specs and will be a great investment piece down the road that will bring a big number. Either choice this particular bike will only go up in value as the years roll by. I have listed a lot of bikes and have a lot of happy customers so bid with confidence. I included a bunch of pictures and all angles so please examine them all for the exact cosmetic condition and if you have a question concerning it do not hesitate to send me an email. International bidders are just fine and sell overseas regularly just please arrange your own shipping and do it in advance or at least figure it out if you do not ship regularly. That goes for buyers in the state as well. The shipping is 100% on the winning bidder. I may can help with the ground transportation depending on where you live and can get great rates to the west coast. I bank with Wells Fargo and Bank Of America for easy payment. Which is due in 5 days from the end of the auction and my modest $150 deposit please pay that within 24 hours of the auctions end. Good luck on the auction and please be serious if you place a bid as I mentioned the reserve is low and expect this to sell so only bid if you have money in hand and are ready to transfer. If you have any questions please just email me and I will get back to you and answer to the best of my ability.
