79 Harley-Davidson Ironhead Sportster Roadster

Up for sale is a 1979 Harley-Davidson XLS Roadster. First year for the Roadster! This bike runs very well. has gone through a restoration for the most part this last year. All replaced parts were either factory NOS or aftermarket new. depending on availability. Has correct for 79 siamese exhaust. 150mph speedo. both very rare items. All starter drive parts are new. New battery and cables. New shocks. new rear fender. rear wiring harness. new paint. Has Harley-Davidson tires. both in very good shape. Installed a new primary shoe and the primary chain is in excellent shape. Bike also comes with a tank from an 80 Roadster. which is slightly larger for longer riding. as well as an assortment of extra parts such as turn signals. S&S air filter housing. sissy bar pad. Has a Screaming Eagle voltage regulator. Accel HP coil installed. as well as a the original and a Mustang seat. Original drag bars. Factory Lockhart oil cooler. Rebuilt the carb over the winter. which is off an 80 XLS (have the original 79 carb in a box). Triple disc brakes work well. For those familiar with the 79 XLS. this bike uses the XLCR frame and many other characteristics of the very desired factory CR bike. Very fun bike and great conversation piece against the newer H-D's. Also included with the sale is a factory service manual and a factory parts manual. as well as a trickle battery charger with a quick disconnect harness already installed on the bike.
