2006, arley Davidson “V-Rod” (VRSC) - Checked out, nd exceptionally clean. My V-Rod (VRSCR) is extraordinarily clean, nd is one of the most popular colors; I call it “Hot Rod” yellow and it’s an absolutely beautiful 'pearl-yellow'. My bike has been very well maintained by a professional motorcycle mechanic. It’s low-mileage for a V-Rod, nly 22,926. - I am the second owner and got it from a retired guy in Pennsylvania. Even though I’m a stout 70, t’s still too big for me. My loss is your gain. The guy I got it from bought it brand new, nd always had it “dealer-serviced” with fresh oil and filters, very 3,000 miles - always with Mobil-1 synthetic. When I got it, did the same. – It has a set of new H-D spark plugs, ew K & N oil/air filter, adiator recently flushed, rake fluid flushed and replaced with new H-D coolant. All nuts/bolts/and fasteners were checked and either tightened up or (where necessary) torqued to factory specs. There are no leaks of ANY kind, NY-where. Going with the bike is all my service manuals and documents. The ONLY blemish on the bike is a slightly cracked chrome ring on the left front radiator intake. Also, f I was going to keep it long-term, ‘might’ put new tires on it, ust for the ‘confidence-factor’ alone. - I’d say there’s about 70% life still in them. I had the bike returned to ‘Factory Specs’ with new: -brake pads, ront/rear
-bearings, ront/rear
-spark plugs, iridium)
-K & N air filter
-K & N oil filter
-Mobil-1 Synthetic oil Here’s how “Cycle World” magazine (a motorcycle reference magazine) put it…
“…The Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod's modern tires and modern suspension allied to a modern chassis give … wait for it… modern handling. Take a right hand or left hand turn at any pace and feel the confidence and ‘sure-footedness’ it lets you feel. The V-Rod's brakes are very capable and the suspension is a perfect balance between sporty feel, nd riding comfort. The V-Rod has more power than a Ducati 916 or early Honda Fireblade; and is far smoother than Harleys of old. The Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod'sinjected V-twin is powerful enough to be pleasingly torquey at low revs; but as the needle sweeps into the top third of the tach, he exhaust note changes and it lays down some serious power. In fact, uned Harley-Davidson V-Rods are competitive on the drag strip – and the long, ow styling echoes that. Lots of time and effort has gone into designing the Harley-Davidson V-Rod and there are no serious glitches in terms of quality and reliability. The finish on the V-Rod is better than the air-cooled Harleys; and the detail and engineering are second to none…” – Chris Myers
2006 Harley-Davidson V-Rod Specs The 2006 Harley-Davidson V-Rod has several new features, ncluding new Brembo triple-disc brakes, ew black hand controls, new clock and dual trip meter, nd a newly designed side stand. The 2006 Street Rod model is also the first one in the family to feature a five gallon fuel tank, nd Showa inverted fork suspension.
