1959 Harley Davidson FL
This bike was originally built in the 60's out of different HD parts (years). The bike has seen several different styling as the trend changed over the years. The frame is a raked HD frame, re 1958. It is a hardtail with hydraulic rear drum brake. Later frames were not hardtail and early ones had a mechanical brake. The panhead motor (1959) was rebuilt several years ago but only has a few miles on it. The transmission is a four speed with hand shift. The output shaft needs a new seal. The distributor has been upgraded to a new style. The front fork is a wide glide with 21" wheel and disk brake. The bike runs a small dry cell battery and is kick start only. I have all the parts to convert back to hand clutch and foot shift. The tail light is from a Ford Model A.
